For our project my group is doing the red fox. They live in open fields or rock piles. They are usually reddish brown, but sometimes they are gray or silver.
The red fox eats small rodents or rabbits. The red fox is more active at night then in the day. Young red foxes are born in the late winter or early spring. They usually live to be 3 to 6 years old.
A red fox has 42 teeth! The female is called a vixen and the male is called a dog. They are important to the habitat because if they were not there the habitat would be overpopulated with the animals foxes eat. The red fox is a very cool animal!
